Directors
Bernado Maralack joined Gardier Security Services in March 2020 as the Human Resources Director.
Prior to joining Gardier,, Bernado held several senior positions within World Vision South Africa, with the most recent role being Operations Director with oversight across all 9 provinces. He also held the position of Executive Councillor within the Drakenstein Municipality and held various leadership roles within the municipality. Bernado believes in serving the community and is the Senior Pastor of Paarl Baptist Church.
His qualifications include a Master of Business Administration (MBA), MPhil in Science and Technology, Bachelor of Theology, National Diploma in Local Government Management and he as well as a Certificate in Project Management. He is currently enrolled for a Doctorate in Business Management.
After serving in the South African Police, Adriaan Louw started his career in the security industry in 1988 when he joined Gray Security Services in Cape Town. He progressed through the ranks to the position of Managing Director of the Gray Free State and Northern Cape company in 1998, and thereafter also served as the Coastal Regional Director for Chubb South Africa, and Managing Director of Thorburn Security between 2004 and 2010.
Adriaan’s law enforcement experience stands him in good stead with the launch of Gardier’s Armed Response and Alarm Monitoring service which was launched in Durbanville during 2020.
He describes himself as a people’s person, and embraces the Gardier Values of treating all employees with dignity and respect. He is married to Evelyn and has two children and two grandchildren. Adriaan is a keen golfer and DIY enthusiast, and participates in various fitness activities to keep himself in shape.
Willem Bruwer holds a qualification as Health Inspector and has vast knowledge and exposure to Occupational Health and Safety through his studies.
He started his career in the security industry joining Gray Security Services in 1998 where he specialized in security operations up to 2006 before leaving to join Thorburn Security as operations manager. Willem resigned from Thorburn in 2010 to join Holbert Integrated Technologies, where he gained valuable knowledge and experience of the operational applications of the technical security industry, which today stands him in good stead offering customers a holistic security solution.
Willem is married to Magda and has two beautiful daughters, Megan and Emma-Jean. He enjoys fishing, the outdoors and spending quality time with his family.
